The Mont Fort-4 Valleys area is one of the largest ski areas in Europe and offers fantastic skiing and boarding for all levels, from cruisey blues to nerve testing high mountain tours, all with stunning backdrops of Switzerlandss mountain scenery. With 410km of varied pistes there is more than enough skiing to keep you happy, whilst the off piste terrain is world famous as a freeriders heaven. The consistently good snow record and the availability of high altitude skiing has given the region a loyal following.

La Tzoumaz is ideally located within the Verbier sector – with a new (in 2007) gondola to whisk you to the Verbier/ Savoleyres slopes in just 8 minutes, and with local slopes which are quieter and enjoy the best snow and have fewer lift queues. There are a number of snowparks in the 4 Vallees, including one of Switzerland’s best nearby in La Chaux, famous for Verbier Ride event.
For the ultimate in adrenaline and escaping the crowds, heliskiing is permitted in Switzerland and we can arrange stunning days out in the backcountry, accompanied by a local guide; popular choices are the nearby glaciers of Petit Combin, Triente and Rosablanche.
Other activities to be enjoyed include tobogganing down the La Luge run – a superb 10km run from Savoleyres to La Tzoumaz – a must for the kids and great fun for adults alike – just give it a go! Increasingly popular on a day off or for non-skiers is snowshoeing: take your time to explore the beautiful mountains from a different perspective along 45km of marked snowshoe trails. The locals love it and we strongly recommend it as a way to absorb the environment and work some different muscles! We will also be pleased to arrange suitable itineraries for non-skiing family members – there are many activities which may be enjoyed and timed to coincide with a skiing partner’s day.
